❤️ Go on a Heart Scavenger Hunt ❤️

Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️

This weekend is a fantastic opportunity to go on a Heart-shaped Scavenger Hunt! This is a fun, creative outdoor activity for all ages! 💕

The idea is simple: head outdoors and search for heart-shaped objects or patterns in the natural world. ❤️

Whether it's a rock, a leaf, a cloud, or even the way the branches grow on a tree, the goal is to spot as many heart shapes as possible and embrace the beauty of nature.

Going on a heart-shaped scavenger hunt is a lovely way to connect with the outdoors and add a bit of fun to the day.

Although any day is a great day to search for hearts in nature, it's an ideal activity to enjoy on Valentine’s Day.

Mother Nature often surprises us with her sweet, hidden, heart-shaped treasures. Sometimes they seem to be everywhere you look, while at other times, finding natural items shaped like hearts can be challenging.

Go for a stroll in your neighborhood park, hiking trail, community garden, or favorite wild space to challenge kids, family, friends, or loved ones to look for heart-shaped wonders.

It's loads of fun for all ages to look for hidden heart shapes in everything from leaves and rocks to clouds and tree branches!

How to Participate:

  1. Get the FREE printable heart scavenger hunt in the Rhythms of Play Library. (Optional)
  2. Head outdoors with your family or friends.
  3. Look for natural heart shapes, such as leaves, petals, rocks, tree branches, clouds, puddles, animal tracks, or any other natural items in the shape of a heart. (Please visit the complete tutorial to see several examples in the photos and video.)
  4. Snap a photo or take a video of your favorite heart-shaped discovery.
  5. Share your discovery! Please send photos to this email or tag us on social media with #RhythmsOfPlay or #HeartShapeScavengerHunt.

A heart scavenger hunt is an excellent way to connect with nature and share love in the great outdoors for Valentine's Day, or any day!

Feel free to invite others to join in the fun! The more, the merrier!

You might find that you continue to hunt for hearts when you're outdoors for the rest of your lives. You know I do!

Wishing you a day filled with love, joy, and many heart-shaped surprises!

Happy Valentine's Day,
