The solstice is this Friday! ☀️

Mark your calendars--the solstice is just around the corner!

On Friday, June 20, at 10:42 PM EDT (7:52 PM PDT), we’ll be welcoming the official start of summer and the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.

Conversely, those in the Southern Hemisphere welcome winter on the shortest day of the year.

The summer solstice, or Litha on the Celtic Calendar, is one of the four solar festivals (quarter days) that fall within the Wheel of the Year in the annual cycle of seasons.

While it marks the astronomical beginning of summer on the Gregorian Calendar, people in Scandinavian countries, such as Sweden, celebrate “Midsummer” on the solstice.

Whether you're planning to soak up the sun, explore the great outdoors, enjoy a solstice feast, practice Yoga, or enjoy a peaceful sunset, it's a perfect time to celebrate the light of the sun.

Learn more about this astronomical event--and make the most of the longest day of the year--with the list of fun summer solstice celebration ideas HERE--> Summer Solstice Traditions.

If you live in the Southern Hemisphere, you might be more interested in this list of winter celebration ideas.

Wishing you warmth and light,
